Jura – Seven Wood Single Malt

Jura Seven Wood is a single malt with a mahogany gold colour, matured with both French and American oak. The French oak adds patisserie notes of caramel, chocolate and baked fruit, while the American oak keeps the whisky bright and approachable. Soft fruit, gentle sweetness, polished oak and a whisper of smoke run through it. The nose brings coffee, ginger spice, a hint of chocolate, nutmeg, strawberry jam on toast and Brazil nuts. On the palate there are crème caramel, baked peach, sweet liquorice and firm oak, with a little smoke late on. The finish is long and sweet, with heavy vanilla and a touch of smoked-tea tannin.
