Jura – 16 Year Old Perspective No.1 (70cl, 46.5%)

This is Jura Perspective No. 1, a 16-year-old island single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46.5%. It opens a series in which the distillery shows different angles on its fruity, balanced house style, and it reinterprets Diurach's Own, an earlier bottling the distillery team particularly valued. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and selected Oloroso sherry casks. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and every bottle carries an individual design. The nose brings stone fruit, dried citrus, roasted walnut and salted toffee with a light coastal note. On the palate come white peach, wild flower honey and citrus oil, with cassia and cocoa nibs. The finish is long and warming, with roasted walnut, salted caramel and toasted oak.
