Jura – 17 Years Old Private Reserve (52.1%)

This is a 17 year old single malt from the Jura Distillery in Craighouse on the Isle of Jura, distilled on 11 July 2008 and selected by Cane and Grain for their Private Reserve collection. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.1%, with natural colour and no chill filtration, in a run of 271 bottles. In September 2022 the whisky was re-racked into a single first-fill Marsala cask, where it spent over two years. Cane and Grain describe it as light, floral and maritime with a Marsala influence, moving between salinity and sweetness, and suggest pairing it with blue cheese.
