This is a cask strength single malt from Jura, bottled by Signatory in its Cask Strength Collection at 52% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1992 and spent 29 years in a bourbon barrel before bottling in spring 2021.
The nose is nutty malt with earthy vanilla, apple crisps and a hint of Crunchie bar. On the palate, oak char and rich barley lead to vanilla fudge and honey. The finish brings baked apple, poached pear and pecan granola, with silky vanilla softening a prickle of pepper.
