This is a 12 year old Jura single malt, distilled on 10 November 2011 and bottled on 23 January 2024. It is number 9 in Claxton's Exploration Series. The whisky matured in a single PX sherry hogshead before bottling. The nose is oily, with bitter orange and gentle, fine herbs. On the palate come sweet grape skin and more bittersweet fruit, with the same oily texture. The finish is sweet with oak and carries further grape notes.
