This is a 12-year-old single malt from Jura, distilled in May 2012 and bottled in June 2024 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. It was matured in a single refill hogshead and bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration. The release was bottled exclusively for Maltoyama, and 302 bottles were produced. The nose is sugary and honeyed with a nutty, cereal character. The palate is warming, tart and spicy over buttered malt loaf, and the finish brings dark liquorice, herbal notes and autumnal apple and pear.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
