Jura – 21 Years Old Pride of the Hebrides (52.7%)

This is a 21 year old single malt distilled at Jura Distillery in Craighouse, on the Isle of Jura in the Inner Hebrides. Thompson Bros., the independent bottler based in Dornoch, released it in their Pride of the Hebrides series, with label art by Whiskyhobo and a hologram label. It matured for 21 years in first-fill barrels and is bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.7% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. This Jura carries a gentle touch of smoke. Thompson Bros. describe it as bright, fresh and zippy, with a refined, surprisingly gentle peat character and classic savoury island notes. The finish is long, coating and waxy.
