This is a 24-year-old Jura single malt from Murray McDavid's Mission Gold range, distilled in 1997 and bottled at 49.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 339 bottles were filled.
The whisky matured in a bourbon hogshead and was then finished in first-fill port and PX sherry casks.
The nose offers burnt oranges, mocha and grain, and the palate stone fruit, saltiness and chocolate. The finish is long, full and round, with a touch of pepper and sweetness.
