Jura – Bourbon Cask (70cl, 40%)

Jura Bourbon Cask is a single malt from the Isle of Jura, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Cask Editions and is matured in American bourbon barrels. It is chill-filtered and has colouring added. The bourbon barrels bring ripe citrus, vanilla and salted caramel to Jura's fruity, aromatic spirit. The distillery's unusually tall and broad stills increase contact with the copper and give a fruity new make for the casks to build on. Vanilla and coconut open the nose. On the palate, creamy toffee and apricot give a soft, fruity texture. The finish brings poached pear, cinnamon and cocoa.
