Kaiyo Mizunara Oak The Peated Whisky is made from imported Scottish peated malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It spends 2 years in Madeira casks, followed by 6 years in mizunara oak casks.
The nose offers apple, white grape, lingering cigar smoke and coconut macaroons, with a good deal of Japanese oak influence. On the palate come apple and watermelon, moving to a sweeter, candied fruitiness, brushed with gentle spice and a swish of smoke.
