Kamiki Intense (50cl, 48%)

A blended malt from Kamiki, bottled at 48% in a 50cl bottle. Malt whiskies from Japan and other countries are married with Japanese spring water, then finished in casks of Yoshino Sugi, Japanese cedar. It is not chill-filtered, and colour has been added. The cedar gives it a woody character, from restrained, earthy wood aromas to a firmer tobacco and cinnamon spice on the palate, with a fine touch of peat. The nose is freshly cut wood, mushrooms and sandalwood. The palate is more intense, with roasted tobacco and sweet cinnamon while cedar stays in the background. The finish combines toasted grain and honey with a note of green tea.
