1st fill bourbon cask
This is a 6 year old Japanese single malt from Kanosuke, distilled in 2018 and matured in a single first-fill bourbon cask. It was bottled at 58% ABV as the official edition of the Chichibu Saitama Whisky Matsuri, in a run of 186 bottles. The festival's executive committee chose the cask after visiting the distillery in Hioki, Kagoshima, in November 2024, and prepared and bottled it themselves. It is the second time a Kanosuke has been the festival's official edition. The nose offers green apple and pear with bubblegum sweetness, then vanilla custard and white pepper. The palate is creamy, with honey, cinnamon, clove and ginger. The finish is medium, drying, with spicy oak and a touch of dark chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
