Kanosuke Artist Edition #002 is a single malt from the Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, made from unpeated malt. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle and is not chill filtered.
The whisky is aged for at least three years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is a numbered, limited release, and the label features the work of photographer Yuna Yagi, whose design for this edition draws on the element of fire.
The nose is raisins, figs and candied orange peel. Cinnamon, clove and nuts follow on the palate, and the finish is long, with dark chocolate, coffee and gentle oak spice.
