Kanosuke – Artist Edition #004 Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 50%)

The fourth release in Kanosuke Distillery's Artist Edition series, a 50% single malt from Kagoshima in Japan, in a 70cl bottle. This edition takes the element Gold (Gon) as its theme, standing for purity, nobility, harvest and completion, and the artist Keiko Yuasa was invited to interpret it in her artwork. The whisky is made from non-peated malt distilled in all three of the distillery's pot stills. It combines fruity spirit from Spirits Still 2 with triple-distilled spirit aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and spirit aged in Islay barrels in Hioki, Kagoshima. Together these give a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of the sea breezes of Islay and Hioki.
