Kanosuke – Distiller's Choice Sherry Butt (HK Edition) Bottled 2022 (70cl, 58%)

This is a Japanese single malt from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, a single sherry butt bottled in March 2022 at 58% in a 70cl bottle. 583 bottles were filled. It is the HK Edition, selected by Master Distiller Yoshitsugu Komasa, with a label drawn by a Japanese cartoonist as a nod to Japanese anime culture. The colour is garnet. The nose offers sherry, raisins, yellow peaches, milk chocolate and coffee. The palate is full of sherry, with deep berry sweetness and soft tannins, and the finish carries citrus, subtle sweetness and a little astringency.
