Kanosuke – Distiller's Choice Singapore Edition Bourbon Barrel 2019 (70cl, 61%)

This is a single cask Japanese single malt from Kanosuke in Kagoshima, the Singapore Edition of the Distiller's Choice. It was distilled in May 2019, matured for three years and four months in a bourbon barrel, and bottled in September 2022 at 61%. It is one of 190 bottles, each in a 70cl size. The edition is the second in a series for Asia in which Japanese comic artists depict the cities of the countries the whisky is sent to. The nose has rum, green apple, yellow peach and peanut. The palate shows soft acidity, malt, mint and custard cream, and the finish is gently sweet with citrus and a note of bitterness.
