This is a Japanese single malt from the Kanosuke distillery in Kagoshima, bottled as a special release for Distillery Fest 2024.
The whisky was distilled in February 2020 and matured in casks marked PL01 and PL02. It then received a finish in Komasa umeshu casks, which previously held Japanese plum wine.
The plum wine casks add a sweet and sour note to the fruity house character of the Kanosuke distillate.
