Kanosuke – First Edition 2021 Cask Strength (70cl, 58%)

Kanosuke First Edition is a cask strength single malt from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, bottled at 58% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first single malt. The whisky was produced in 2017 and 2018 using all three of the distillery's pot stills, from unpeated malt. It was aged in several varieties of oak barrel and blended after three years of maturation. Re-charred American white oak casks that previously held Mellowed Kozuru shochu play a key part in the blend. The distillery's concept is 'Mellow Land, Mellow Whisky'.
