Kanosuke Peated is a limited-edition single malt from Kanosuke, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made with an extra-long fermentation and matured in re-charred shochu casks and Manzanilla sherry casks. The result is a soft smokiness alongside citrus notes and a savoury, bacon-like depth.
The nose brings cassis, caramel and honey butter, with a little baguette and bonito stock. The palate offers quince, pear and kumquat compote with smoked bacon, and the finish stays tart, with faint bitter citrus.
