Kanosuke – Single Malt 2021 Second Edition (70cl, 57%)

Kanosuke Single Malt 2021 Second Edition is a Japanese single malt from the Kanosuke distillery in Kagoshima, on the west coast of Kyushu, founded in 2017. It was distilled in 2018, matured for three years mainly in re-charred bourbon casks and released on 12 November 2021. It is bottled at 57% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with a soft saltiness that reflects the nearby sea. The nose is citrus, green apple, vanilla and lemon tea. On the palate there is honey, cinnamon and grapefruit. The finish is an elegant sweetness with a pleasant bitterness.
