Kanosuke Single Malt 2026 Limited Edition (70cl, 57%)

This is a 2026 limited edition single malt from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle. It is built from a selection of key malts, with a subtle hint of peated whisky. The components include whisky aged in bourbon barrels and finished in apple brandy casks, and spirit matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks and finished in white wine casks. Sherry casks add further layers, and a slow dilution process gives a mellow, rounded depth. The colour is golden amber. The nose has orange blossom, apple peel, white grape and beach vitex flower. The palate offers vanilla, yuzu paste, honey and apple brandy. The finish brings grapefruit, apple peel and a gentle spring sea breeze.
