Kanosuke Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 48%)

Kanosuke Single Malt is a Japanese whisky from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands on the coast by Fukiagehama Beach and opened in 2018. It was founded by Komasa Jyozo, a company that has made traditional spirits such as shochu since 1883. The distillery runs three pot stills, each with a different shape and neck inclination, which allows a range of profiles. The whisky is amber in colour. The nose has candied fruits, vanilla, ginger and slightly smoked nuts. The palate shows honey, banana, lemon tea and caramel with hints of chocolate and spice, leading to a long, fruity, chocolatey finish.
