This Karuizawa was distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2013 at more than 31 years old. It was released by Number One Drinks Company as part of its Noh series, from cask 155.
Karuizawa distillery was founded in 1955 and closed in 2001. It used Golden Promise barley, as Macallan does, and matured its whisky in sherry casks.
