This is a 30 year old Japanese single malt from Karuizawa, distilled in August 1985 and bottled in August 2015 at 55.2% ABV. It matured in a single ex-sherry cask, number 2364, and was released in a 70cl bottle.
It was selected by La Maison du Whisky for the Artifices Series, in which each label is designed by a different artist. The label here is the work of Warren Khong, from Singapore. A total of 315 bottles were released.
Karuizawa was once the smallest whisky distillery in Japan and closed in 2011.
