This single cask Kavalan from Taiwan was released for the distillery's 15th anniversary. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 after 15 years in one Oloroso sherry cask, number S090608008A. Only 237 bottles were filled, at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV. The whisky is not coloured.
The nose offers juicy plums, dates and lemon alongside sweet caramel, candied cherries, raisins, almonds, vanilla and a hint of pineapple. On the palate there is dark chocolate and espresso, with cane sugar, toasted wood, cinnamon and a sharp touch of clove. The finish is long, with intense sherry fruit and fine cocoa.
