Kavalan Concertmaster is a single malt from Taiwan, matured in bourbon casks and finished in port wine casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is of natural colour.
The nose opens fresh and sweet with red berries, then roasted nuts with honey and marshmallow. With time, tropical fruit such as pineapple, coconut and figs appears, along with soft milk chocolate, toffee and raisins.
The palate is creamy, soft and sweet, with honey-glazed orange blossom and sugar cane, joined by pineapple, a hint of cinnamon, candied fruit and cherries. The finish stays long, fruity and sweet.
