Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is a Taiwanese single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Yilan, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It has no added colour.
The malted barley matures first in a selection of casks, including bourbon, sherry and wine casks, before a finish in port casks adds dark fruit, sweetness and a nutty depth.
The nose brings ripe berries, coconut, honey and dark raisins, with toffee and roasted nuts. On the palate, pineapple and juicy orange meet honey, cinnamon and soft chocolate in a velvety texture. The finish is long, fruity and gently spicy.
