Kavalan Concertmaster is a single malt finished in Port casks, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The Port influence runs through the notes. The nose opens with red grapes and clove, then a generous amount of vanilla, with a little tobacco leaf and cookie dough behind it.
On the palate there is brown sugar with ground cinnamon and white pepper, all soaked in Port, over a core of white oak warmth. The finish brings raisins, prunes and strawberry jam, with another pinch of tobacco.
