This is Kavalan Concertmaster, a single malt from Taiwan finished in Port casks, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings red grapes and clove with a good deal of vanilla, along with a little tobacco leaf and cookie dough. On the palate there is brown sugar, ground cinnamon and white pepper alongside Port, with a core of white oak warmth. The finish carries raisins, prunes, strawberry jam and a pinch of tobacco.
