Kavalan Distillery Select No 1 is a Taiwanese single malt matured in refill casks in the subtropical climate of Yilan. It is described as elegant and balanced, with the soft, fruity character that is typical of Kavalan.
The nose is clean and complex, with dried fruit, nuts and spices, and hints of marzipan and vanilla. The palate is rich, buttery and full-bodied, with dried fruit and spice and a touch of coffee. The finish is long.
