Kavalan Distillery Select No. 1 is a Taiwanese single malt, released to celebrate the craftsmanship of Kavalan Master Blender Ian Chang. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was aged in refill casks. It shows the fruity, tropical character Kavalan is known for, balanced by maturation in Taiwan's tropical temperatures.
On the palate, tropical fruit and chocolate mingle with toffee apple, salted caramel and vanilla. The finish is smooth and fruity, with pineapple, mango and sweet tropical spices.
