Kavalan – Ex-Bourbon Oak (70cl, 46%)

Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Oak is a single malt whisky from Taiwan, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in hand-selected fresh American ex-bourbon casks and brought down to strength with Kavalan spring water. The whisky is double distilled and left to age in the tropical heat of Taiwan's east coast, in one of the distillery's two five-storey warehouses. It is described as complex, with vanilla, fruit and coconut highlights, a soft sweetness and a clean, fresh tropical fruitiness. Vanilla, coconut and spice linger.
