Kavalan – King Car 45th Anniversary Palo Cortado Cask (1.5L)

This is a Kavalan single malt from Taiwan, released for the 45th anniversary of King Car Group, the distillery's parent company. It is a limited edition in a 1.5 litre bottle. The whisky was matured exclusively in Palo Cortado sherry casks, a style that joins the finesse of Amontillado with the richness of Oloroso. Kavalan is based in Yilan County and has been producing spirit since 2005. The nose brings cocoa powder, citrus peel, sweet dried fruit and toffee. On the palate there is nutty richness, vanilla fruitcake, orange pound cake and cardamom. The finish is long, with raisins, caramel, toasted biscuit and crushed walnut.
