A single malt from Kavalan, named LÁN as a tribute to Yilan, where the distillery was born. The name also stands for the Chinese character for orchid, reflecting the island's standing as the Kingdom of Orchids.
Vanilla from bourbon barrels and nutty, floral notes from port casks combine with the caramelised fruit sweetness of Vinho wine casks, which are shaved, toasted and recharred under Kavalan's STR technique. The colour is deep amber and the strength is 43% ABV.
Orchid, rose, jasmine, peony and orange blossom meet creamy vanilla, chocolate, caramel, honeydew melon and fruit gummies, ending on nut and cinnamon.
