Kavalan – Oloroso Sherry Oak Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Kavalan Oloroso Sherry Oak is a single malt whisky from Taiwan, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The distillery brings it to that strength with Kavalan spring water, and it is matured in Oloroso sherry oak. The whisky has a deep mahogany colour. The Kavalan name comes from the land around I-Lan, once home to the indigenous Kavalan clan. In the glass it is described as nutty, with dried fruit and spice and hints of vanilla and marzipan. The palate is smooth and balanced, with a natural sweetness of dried fruit and spice, followed by a long finish.
