Kavalan – Podium

Kavalan Podium is a single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan, created to mark the distillery's fourth anniversary. It is a deep, dark gold in colour. Taiwan's subtropical climate speeds up maturation, and with an angel's share of 15 to 18 per cent a year, the casks need constant checking. The nose is mostly floral, with malt and a little vanilla. On the palate come exotic fruit, malt, honey, cherries, white pepper and oak, leading to a finish of exotic notes and medium length.
