Kavalan – Podium (70cl, 46%)

Kavalan Podium is a Taiwanese whisky from the Kavalan distillery, created to mark the distillery's fourth anniversary. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. It matured in new American oak casks together with a range of Kavalan refill casks. Each batch is put together from a large number of selected casks aged between 4 and 6 years. The nose is floral, with some coconut and sweet vanilla. The palate is soft and gentle, with cherry, green apple, vanilla, toffee, mango, honey, spice and fine oak. The finish is long, sweet and fruity, with a little oak.
