This is a single-cask Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan Distillery, selected for Scotch & Ponder. It was matured in a Port cask and bottled at cask strength, 54.8% ABV.
It was matured in Taiwan's subtropical climate, which gives a full-bodied malt of concentrated dark fruit, rich sweetness, chocolate, warming spice and oak.
The nose is ripe berries and dried fruit with caramelised sweetness, dark chocolate, toasted nuts and seasoned oak. The palate is full and powerful, with dark fruit, chocolate and caramel, spice, nuts and structured oak. The finish is long and warming, with dark fruit, chocolate, spice and Port-influenced sweetness.
