This is a single malt Taiwanese whisky from Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
Kavalan was founded in 2005 in the foothills of the Snow Mountain range in north-eastern Taiwan, and the distillery draws on mountain snowmelt for its water. The climate is hot and humid, and the angels' share runs at 12 to 15 per cent a year, which speeds up the exchange between spirit and wood.
