Kavalan – Solist Amontillado Sherry Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 57.1%)

Kavalan Solist Amontillado is a single malt from Kavalan in Taiwan, bottled at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in Amontillado sherry casks. Amontillado is a dry sherry, darker than Fino and lighter than Oloroso, that ages under a cap of flor before being exposed to the air. Toasted almonds and hazelnut are its classic aromas. The colour is a rich auburn. The nose is very rich and fruity-sweet, with walnuts, almonds, toffee and a touch of oak. The palate is soft sherry with a hint of caramel, and the finish is gentle with peppered nuts.
