Kavalan Solist ex-Bourbon Cask is a Taiwanese single malt matured in hand-selected American ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle, and is non-chill-filtered so that it keeps the fuller flavour of the malt.
The highlights are vanilla, fruit and coconut. The colour is very pale.
The nose is clean and fresh, with tropical fruit, vanilla, coconut and spices. The palate is well balanced, with natural sweetness, vanilla and oak spices, and a round, complex, silky texture.
