Kavalan – Solist Moscatel Sherry Cask Strength Cask S100714008A

This is a single-cask Kavalan from the Solist range, matured in a cask that previously held Moscatel sherry and bottled at cask strength. It was bottled in 2015. Moscatel is a naturally sweet sherry made from Moscatel de Alejandria grapes, known for floral and citrus aromas. The Moscatel expression first appeared at the Whisky Luxe exhibition in August 2015, as one of four sherry cask additions to the Solist range alongside Amontillado, Manzanilla and Pedro Ximenez. The whisky matured in the warm, humid subtropical climate of Yilan in Taiwan, which also shaped its maturation.
