Kavalan – Solist Peated Cask Strength 9 Years Old 2016 Itinéraires Collection (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a peated single malt from Kavalan, distilled on 12 September 2016 and bottled by the distillery in 2025 at nine years old. It comes from a refill cask and was bottled at a cask strength of 57.1%, in a run of 118 bottles of 70cl, as part of the Itinéraires Collection. The nose is a greasy, slightly rubbery peat with pepper, cloves, peppermint, a touch of cinnamon and a hint of camphor. On the palate the peat is light and ashy, running long alongside leather, camphor, and orange and lemon zest. The finish is marked by lemon zest and light peat.
