Kavalan – Solist Sherry Single Cask Strength Single Malt (70cl)

Kavalan Solist Sherry is a cask strength single malt from Taiwan, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Oloroso sherry casks and distilled with spring water from the Hsuehshan mountains, the "mountains of snow". It belongs to the Solist range, whose bottlings come straight from the barrel without reduction, cold filtration or added colour. Six years of maturation in a hot, humid subtropical climate give it the character of a much older Speyside whisky. It is described as rich and fruity, with exotic, complex notes. It was voted Best Rest of the World Single Malt at the 2011 World Whiskey Awards.
