This is a single cask Kavalan Solist, bottled in 2015 at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured fully in used American oak wine barrels that were toasted and recharred, and the barrels had held both red and white wines.
The nose is rich with vanilla and caramelised sugars under dark chocolate, with ripe melon, mango, kiwi and citrus, and pepper in the background. The palate is clean and complex, with a long aftertaste. The colour is deep autumn gold.
