Kavalan Solist Virgin Oak Team Canada L is a single malt whisky from the King Car Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan, bottled at single cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is a private single-cask selection made for the Canadian market.
The whisky was matured in a new virgin oak cask in Yilan's warm, humid subtropical climate.
The nose is typically described as smoked plum, purple grapes, buttery vanilla, beeswax, apricot and honeyed peach. The palate brings oak spice, honey, autumn pear, roasted chestnuts, ripe guava and cinnamon. The finish is long, with ripe tropical fruit, sweet oak spice and cinnamon warmth.
