Omar Sherry Cask is a Taiwanese single malt matured for five years in sherry casks, bottled in 70cl. It comes from the Omar range made at Nantou Distillery, which the Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation founded in 1978 in the mountains of Nantou. The subtropical climate there means the whisky matures quickly.
The nose has almond, sultanas, red grapes and dark chocolate. The palate is full and intense, with caramel, toasted bread, dried fruit and a touch of smoke. The finish is lightly spicy, with fresh oak and dried fruit.
