Yushan Blended Taiwan Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Yushan Blended is a blended malt from the Nantou Distillery in Taiwan, owned by the Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation. It is made from 100% malted barley and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The blend brings together malts matured in bourbon casks and in sherry casks, all from the same distillery. The bourbon-cask malts bring toffee, vanilla and exotic fruit, and the sherry-cask malts add depth and spice. The name comes from Yushan, Taiwan's highest mountain. The nose is fresh and balanced, with toasted grains, green apple and pear. The palate is full and viscous, with toasted notes, honey, sweet spices and caramel. The finish is dry and elegant, with warming spices, smooth vanilla and subtle woody notes.
