Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is a Taiwanese whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in three kinds of sherry cask: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. Oloroso sets the main character with dried fruit, while the Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel casks add rich caramel and the sweetness of malt sugar, alongside the tropical fruit that is typical of Kavalan.
The nose is described as ripe berries and dried fruit, fresh grape and citrus, chocolate brownie and toffee, with cinnamon, clover, spice, oak and rosemary. The palate is warm and soft, with lasting sherried dried fruit, candied fruit, caramel and honey. The finish is long and balanced, with a lingering sweetness.
