Kavalan – Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 40%)

A single malt from Kavalan, matured in three kinds of sherry cask: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. Oloroso is the lead, bringing dried fruit, and the whisky has a deep scarlet colour. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Rich caramel and the sweetness of maltose sit alongside the distillery's tropical fruit character. The nose has ripe berries and dried fruit, fresh grapes and citrus, chocolate brownie and toffee, with cinnamon, clover and spice leading to oak and rosemary. The palate is warm, smooth and mellow, with sherried dried fruit, candied fruit, caramel and honey.
